The MYF is delighted to announce that our popular and well-established new Muslim group meeting will be on this Thursday 1st August 2024 inshallah 07:00 – 09:00pm hosted by Sheikh Imtiaz Hussain and Sheikh Asad Zaman.
Please spread the word for old & new reverts to join us.
For those not familiar with the group and also for new reverts here’s what the group is all about:
– For New Muslims to meet fellow New Muslims from the Manchester area. – To provide a meeting place where Brothers & Sisters who have been Muslim for some time can give support & advice to those who have recently become Muslim. – To provide a multi-dimensional support network for all Manchester New Muslims. – To provide information about Islam on any area that the New Muslim wants advice on. – To provide a series of talks about Islam by knowledgeable people. – To provide New Muslims from the Manchester area an opportunity to meet up with New Muslims from the whole of the UK. The format of the MYF New Muslim Group will be informal & friendly (tea & biscuits will be provided!).

What Duas to recite on Eid al Adha? Transliteration:
The blessed month of Dhul Hijjah will begin on Friday 7th June 2024 Insha’Allah.
The Prophet ﷺ said about the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah: “There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.” [Muslim]
Let’s all make a sincere effort to inshallah increase in our worship over the next 10 days.
The Day of ‘Arafah will fall on Saturday 15th June 2024 Insha’Allah.
The Prophet ﷺ was asked about fasting on the day of ’Arafah, he said, “It expiates the sins (Minor) of the past year and the coming year.” [Muslim]
Eid al Adha will be celebrated on Sunday 16th June 2024.
1st Eid prayer will be 8:00am & 2nd Eid prayer will be 10:30am

The MYF is a registered charity and we can only function with your support and help, whether it be fund raising or online donations every penny helps towards the running costs of the Masjid. The MYF has been a beacon of light in Manchester City centre for many decades helping not just the Muslim community but also building bridges with the wider community and our doors are open to everybody!
As Muslims, we love to give for the sake of Allah, and to help our Ummah, but Allah also promised great practical reward and protection for giving charity and the benefits of supporting your local Masjid.
“Those who spend in charity will be richly rewarded” (Quran 57:10)
We implore you to donate however small or big the donation is Allah will not decrease your accounts! The reward is huge to help maintain and run a Masjid for the sake of Allah!
“Whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs,” (Bukhari)
It is truly a wonderful blessing to have enough to be able to give, and with this act, our blessings are multiplied, and our Charity will be a protection against the calamity we face in our own lives inshallah.

Alhamdulilah we are delighted to announce that Eid Al-Fitr will be Wednesday 10th April.
1st Prayer – 8:00am
2nd Prayer – 10:30am
Fitrana is £6 per person for each household and should be payed before the Eid prayer begins. Please visit our main office or masjid to make payment.
Please arrive early as we expect to be very busy and please be mindful of worshippers when entering and leaving the masjid, khair inshallah.
It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Sa’ib said:“I attended the ‘Eid prayer with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He led us in offering the ‘Eid prayer, then he said: ‘I have finished the prayer. Whoever wants to sit (and listen to) the sermon, then let him sit, and whoever wants to leave, then let him leave.’”
Please join us tonight for Iftar & invite your family, friends & neighours to gain the reward’s of the last 10 blessed days of Ramadan. Let’s tighten our belts and be steadfast together inshallah in reaping the rewards, forgiveness & mercy of Allah the Almighty.
Also we are delighted to announce as of this evening we will commence with Tahajjud prayers starting at 3:15am for brothers & sisters followed by a full suhoor meal Alhamdulilah. We will offer Tahajjud prayers & suhoor every evening until the end of Ramadan.
Also for those unaware Fitrana is £6 per person for every household and must be payed before the Eid prayer commences. There is a common misconception that you can pay it anytime during the day of Eid but this is incorrect it must be payed before the Eid prayer begins in order for it to be valid and accepted in accordance with Sunnah of our beloved prophet peace be upon him.

The MYF is delighted to announce the start of Ramadan 2024 on Monday 11th March may Allah bless us all with a prosperous holy month Ameen. Taraweeh will begin tonight after Esha prayers which will be 8pm tonight. Everybody is welcome Alhamdulilah!
