For those who haven’t attended the group before, it has been a vital support link for many new and old Muslims for as long as we can remember.

It’s a very beneficial course for those who want to learn more and meet people on the same journey. Very relaxed informal friendly atmosphere with a Q & A session and topics discussed with refreshments.

Please feel free to invite your friends and family along.

Duaa Request for Sheikh Imtiaz

Asalaamualikum

(( Duaa Request for Sheikh Imtiaz ))

Our beloved Sheikh who is a regular speaker at various groups; meetings; open days and Khateeb of Jumaa salah at the MYF has been ill for the past 2 months with his condition worsening.

This is a humble request to the community who love this humble slave of Allah to remember him in your duaas in the last part of the night or at recommended times when duaa is more likely to be accepted.
Allah (SWT) gives us a beneficial reminder in the Qudsi Hadith below.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

Allah (mighty and sublime be He) will say on the Day of Resurrection: O son of Adam, I fell ill and you visited Me not. He will say: O Lord, and how should I visit You when You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: Did you not know that My servant So-and-so had fallen ill and you visited him not? …..

Sahih Muslim.
Hadith 18

In the absence of visiting him at his home (which is currently difficult) then the minimum we can do is make a sincere duaa for you ill brother in Islam.

We ask Allah (SWT) who is the Curer of illnesses to cure Sheikh Imtiaz of his illness and gain a full recovery so that he can be returned back to the his family and the community that we can benefit ameen.

Visit My Mosque Day Review

#VisitMyMosque Day took place on 18 February 2018 at the Muslim Youth Foundation in the Heart of Manchester in the Northern Quarter joining over 200 mosques who opened their doors to their neighbours & wider community under the theme Open Doors, Open Mosques, Open Communities!

This is the 2nd year that the MYF have hosted the event on a Sunday. The event faced a number of challenges including the Manchester weather and Chinese New Year which unfortunately had an impact on the volume of attendee’s. However, on a positive note, those that attended were very grateful of the invitation and gained a lot of positive awareness & knowledge of Islam from the visit which including: a Tour of the Mosque, Exhibition stand & stalls; and a free Gift Bag.

The success of the event is due to Allah (SWT)The Lord of the heavens and the earth. All Praise and Thanks is due to Him the most high for sending ‘Jewels’ in the form of 30+ volunteers. We are blessed to have such a fantastic group of volunteers who invested their free time to promote & support our event. Without our team of volunteers, we couldn’t do what we do! So again from The Team at The Myf, we thank you all for the help & support!

We ask Allah (SWT) to reward you all in this world and next & answer all you dua’s Ameen.

Just a pictures to reflect the event…..
