Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “A man who is known for his good character has the same degree as someone who stands at night in prayer.”
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ النُّمَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ خَوَّاتِ بْنِ صَالِحِ بْنِ خَوَّاتِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حِبَّانَ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُدْرِكُ بِحُسْنِ خُلُقِهِ دَرَجَةَ الْقَائِمِ بِاللَّيْلِ.
